High blood pressure, diabetes and elevated cholesterol rarely announce themselves. People often feel completely well while these conditions are quietly doing damage, which is why they are sometimes called silent conditions.

What a check-up covers

A standard annual review at Premier Health Centres includes blood pressure, weight and body mass index, a blood glucose test, a cholesterol panel and a conversation about your family history and lifestyle.

Depending on your age and risk factors, your doctor may also recommend vision screening, a cervical smear or a prostate check.
